Although I would take a bulletproof 3.8 GM v6 over a 20b anyday but that's another discussion.

WRX, converted to FWD via NA Honda Kseries.

On a serious note! Has anyone seen that WRX that was converted to a EG, just swapped shells, and alot of reinforcement. Probley the cheapest, craziest, coolest thing I have ever seen!!!!! You gotta see the build thread!

Project: First world Civic powered by Subaru - Honda-Tech

When I first saw this and read the title I was like "Civic with wrx drivetrain ? that's cool." Then I found out it was an actual wrx chassis and they put the eg shell on top and I was like "Why would you wanna downgrade on the looks of you car ?"

It wouldn't take an obscene amount. You can get a great condition Supra for under 15K, and an LS1 and T56 for $3K. You won't have fitment problems with the shorter motor, so the steering rack and hood are good to go, and with an LS motor, you have your choice of front or rear sump. You also won't have to upgrade the fuel, rear end, or radiator. In fact, the WP inlet and outlet are in roughly the same position. It's doable for $20K easily if you do the work yourself, and you can pick up maybe $2K selling off the old engine and tranny.

LS MKIV Supras have been done. I think there are 2-3 out there, as well as old iron block Chevy swaps into them.

Shit I liked it. Imprezas obviously look way meaner but I think having an awd civic trumps that.. even if it's just an incognito wrx.
