Default how do you know you have a bad wheel bearing?

hey that the question how do you know if you have a bad wheel bearing? my protege feel like a wheel is flat spotted but i move the wheels in question to the back and it still feels like it had a lump in the frount wheels i wondering if its the brakes somehow or is it the bearings and how hard it it to change the bearings? any help thanx

well if you don't already have a shop manual for the car , and you plan on keeping it I would pick one up.

First thing you are going to want to pay attention to when doing wheel bearings is the tq. ratings on the final product.

Pick up a manual, read up on the procedure and go from there if you think you can tackle it.. Also make sure you have all the tools you will need to finish the job.

I just changed my mustangs front end from 4 lug to 5 lug in about an hour today. Some people might still be trying to get the first set of wheels off. Good luck and let us know what you find !
