LOGIC? You seriously want to invoke logic in a conversation about fake hijackings, missiles hitting the pentagon, and bombs planted throughout the world trade center? I thought it was a given that logic was checked at the door when entering one of these threads.

this is exactly why i buy the k&n oil filters just because the have the 1" nut on top of them. those wrenches dont always work as well as they should...

if its stuck all you need is a 1" socket and a ratchet and your golden.

^^^Second on the K&N but I never need to use the socket...just the old school style oil wrench...and that's barely. I'm just hoping the op has gotten it off by now...

I've never had a problem just putting the oil filter channel locks around the filter or wrapping that band around the filter and turning it right off.

Your car sucks.

my ka24de for some reason just loves to fight me with oil filters, best method everytime, long screw driver, big hammer, hammer the screwdriver completely through the end and twist off.

Just JB weld the bottom of whats left of the filter. Filters are over rated.

first time i changed the oil on my lexus the damn filter felt like it was put on with an impact. ended up using my oil filter strap wrench. normally it sucks using that but i had just enough room to g4et it on there. never had issues since. my guess is that the filter gasket wasnt lubed before install and that it was also put well past hand tight.

or you could hand tighten it, and you wont have to go through all of that.
