You don't just decide you want to buy an LFA one day like you do with a ZR1, you have to go through an extensive application process and interview or be selected from Toyota to even think about owning one. The amount of money spent into designing an entire car like that from scratch is ridiculous and then money invested into actually making the car its self. It's a Toyota racing Formula 1 engine, think about how much that would cost alone.

The ZR1 is a great car for the price but it is still a Corvette that's in the title ZR1..Corvette..The chassis is great but it's still a Corvette chassis with alot of carbon fiber, upgraded suspension, idk maby more bracing?, and a bad ass LS platform engine that's been around for years that you can order a crate over the internet from.

as for the too steep of a price tag for the amount of car.... lets look at some cheaper, slower cars... the rx-7 isn't a crazy amount of car, but it still costs $3-4 grand. (91 rx7) but a 240sx is worth between $1-2 grand (91 240sx)
two very similar cars as far as performance goes.
The rx7 tends to be held as a more "valuable" because of its A) "uncommonness" and B) "differentness"

rotorykidd, you're into rx7s and what not, you should understand this better than anyone in this thread, but it is the "I passed 573 identical looking hondas" honda guy that is trying to tell you about it....

FYI, I don't own a Honda. But I did pass by 399994 240sx's.

 

Only on TR would everyone fucking argue over a car that not a single fucking person on this site will ever:

A) Be chosen to own
B) Be able to afford

if i had the cash laying around burning a hole in my pocket, i would get this car in a sec quoting top gear "this car is an engineers dream car", and me been so technical about everything, would love the experience of owning such a rare bad ass car..

 

I would get it, the motor came out of thier (Toyota) F1 car. BTW the inside of a ZR1 is way to cheap looking for the price.
