Edit: To do something right on a car first time around, usually means you did something wrong on another car in the past. People gotta learn somehow, I think most exprienced people get mad when they see a newbie fail at something because they remember what its like to fail. I mean realy, no one is trying to build a POS.
READ FTW.... who said you had to do it to learn it.. work smarter not harder if you dont know learn from other mistakes so you dont do them..Theres no excuse for stupidity especially if you have the internet theres so much knowledge to be had read up research then do go for it.

Yeppers, long before I made one change to my car I did my research, and then researched some more. Then I went to the best forums I could find for my make and the mods I wanted and posted my plans there to get the opinion of people that had been there before me and experts with the car.

Then once I was sure about what needed to be done, I saved my pennies till I had the budget to do what I needed to do and did it right.

In this day and age there is no need to go it alone or have to recreate the wheel all over again.

+10,000 on the above advice that research and discussing your plans with the experts are the best thing you do before you even think about making your first mod.

The forums are a great tool for learning. Like mentioned before you should learn from others mistakes and follow the footsteps of those who have great results. Make everyone else your guinea pig. Everything I learned was from forums and from talking to knowledgeable people.

Tuning can make or break your car, choose your tuner wisely. I put together my own car and the ONLY person I trust with it is Alpha.

Damn, as much as I may razzed ya over the years for being an adult who still lives with his parents, I'm glad to see the money you saved on rent or payments has been well spent, lol.

BTW - What's the hump behind the radiator, some kind of offset cooling fan or something else?

I actually own my house, run my own business, and have paid off cars. But saying I live with my mom sounds cooler

That is the fan shroud.

Because you can't buy a tune off eBay or craigslist or steal off someone else's car it in the middle of the night. That's the only way a lot of people know how to get shit for their cars.

Sadly this seems to be very true. If I had to have a car tuned in this area Id have no idea where to go, as it seems so many shops are rip off artists.
