A Golf and a GTI are two different cars.....GTI's only come with the 1.8T or the VR6......Golf's only come with the 115hp 2.0L or the TDI. I'm considering a 1.8T GTI next spring when I'm in the market for a new car.....so

Ok, so you're getting the picture....

GTI... plus.. shifter that looks like a golf ball (which is ghey as hell as well) = golf GTI.....

You've been hanging around that aussie too much..... you're getting thick in the head...

the reason it has a golf ball is that the orginal GTI had it and I guess its retro. Personally I love the golf ball shift knob and would consider putting it on my VW, but I wouldn't buy a 337 since it still looks heavy. Lupo GTI please
