i think you missed the last weeks news

 

Napolitano estimated that the program would bring in $90 million revenue in its first year, but actual revenue fell far short as many motorists ignored notices received in the mail.

^^ thats what i did when i got mine in the mail last month just threw it out lol no phone calls no other tickets just 2 notices saying int he mail that if i don't pay it there going to turn it ovr to a collection agency.

but thats awesome news Ive felt for a long time having the cameras was b.s its just to 1984ish for me to justify being a supporter of them

 

my big problem with it is all the camera proves is that the car ran the light, was speeding, etc etc. but not who was doing it. My brother drives my car all of the time. Why should I get the ticket for running the light when I wasn't even driving....

 

Knock on wood. Hopefully they don't make a law that states if the vehicle accumulates too many tickets then it can't be registered or insured till the tickets are paid off. So if your brother drives your car and gets 3 or 4 fines caught on camera and never pays it off then when the registration drops the DMV will say Fuck you. This car can't be registered till you pay off the fines. heh

 

Good for arizona. I hope they do get it on the ballet. Cant imagine they really think the majority will vote for more fine and bs tickets.

 

All things concidered, if the camera folks can convince the voters they can be used to just to pick up illegal immigrants they might be able to reverse the decision, lol.

Enthused by Hillsborough Countys $165,000 in one month, and Govt's constant mission for new ways to promote a one way transfer of funds from your pocket to "the big cigar box", Tallahassee passed legislation allowing counties to install the cameras....according to WFLA.

City of Tampa originally said that the cameras cause crashes, since people don't know when the yellow/red is coming and cram on the brakes....
...........they said that until they head about the 165 grand.

Write this down:
If you are driving slowly and safely, there is a point where you have crossed the line on your side of the intersection, and will NOT be able to floor the gas sufficiently to clear the line on the far side of the intersection. The slower and safer you are going, it increases the chance that you will NOT clear the intersection before the camera triggers.
