Does anyone know where I can get a 2' by 2' panel of carbonfiber made local?

Try looking through the phone book for fiberglass boat makers, most of them should be able to lay up carbon fiber as well (similar to laying up fiberglass).

automotive engineering used to sell small sheets about that size, but i do not know if they do any longer. but it doesnt hurt to give them a call and find out.
