Default I need new tire opinions..

So my tires are about worn out..

standard issue 225/60/16 Eagle RSA ... they SUCK all around.. honestly..

what are your inputs for these specs

- 225/60/16
- T+ speed rating
- Excellent in the rain
- Don't care about noise
- 50k+ mile treadwear
- Price under $150 per tire
- I would like A rating's in Temp and Traction

I will end up doing this on my car and my wifes car, so 8 tires in the future.. I haven't bought passenger car tires in 13 years.. Its been truck and High performance, which is why I'm asking for educated opinions here.

Don't care if I have to order them online or buy them at Bills Auto in BFE..what are your opinions on some tires?

I was looking at these.. they have a "B" temperature rating is the only let down , and I have read biased opinions.

8 tires. yep.

I might end up just putting the new ones on my wifes car , and rotating her almost bad tires onto my car to get some more wear out of them before I toss em.

Her car with those tires and an alignment for $575 at sears.

When I bought my tires, I bought them online off of tirerack.com and brought them to Midas to put them on. Cost me $75 to mount, balance, and throw away my old ones.

If you want decent grip, and a cheap price, Dunlop Direzza star specs are pretty good tires, and they are priced decent too. They are pretty much cheaper RE11R competition. I dunno if you're looking at R compounds for your cop car though.

Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec

They don't have that particular tire in my size.

Continental Contisports. Good enough for BMW and Porsche OEM. I've had several sets. Really good all around tires.

Info only:
City of Tampa will dispose of 4 unmounted tires per month for free.
Put 'em by the trash can.

Some dealers charge you the disposal fee, then sell the good tires to
someone who collects/sorts them at a cantral location, tags them as to size, cleans them up and they are sold back to the dealer, where they go onto his rack as used tires and he sells them for $25 each.....or more.-Bob
