Has anyone here ever sold a car to car max? Im about to buy a new car and i wont need my ranger anymore so i was going to bring it to car max to see what they will offer me. if anyone has ever done any business with them post up your experience and how it went.

 

they offered a buddy of mine $9000 for his 03 Cobra with 29k miles on it.

Yeah they will give you a price and thats it, if you like it (most likely you wont) you sell it if not they wont run after you.

 

I got offered $4,000 for a 2007 Ford Ranger with 15k on it... I had bought it a year prior brand new from Walker for like 11k or so. Safe to say I laughed and walked out. Got almost $8,000 from Park Auto Mall for the same truck with almost 5k more miles at that point!

 

jesus christ. if you got offered 4k for an 07 ranger ill prob get like 1k for my 02 ranger lmao

 

They offered me 6900 for my 03 wrx when it had 27k miles and was mint. I LOLD

They offered my $3000 for my 1999 honda CRv with like 130K miles on it.. and it did need work.. I did not sell it to them.. but that's what they offered.. i sold it on CL for like $5900 after cleaning it up a little.

 

Fuck that place, I would private sell, private sell, private sell all day before going there. I have heard so many stories about ppl I know going there and getting offers lower than a Jewish TR member would dare to even think of. You would probably make more as a trade in.
