Hello and welcome to this edition of mattback gets a paint job. Im your host mattback.

Yeah this week i finally decided to make the Busted Z31 a nice Boosted Z31. A cheapo $500 dollar paint job was thrown on my car by econo with the four year guarantee. It looks ALOT better than my old multi colored panels and front end and what not and will suffice for the time being on my car for at least until I can get a S13 to put this motor into it. Hahaha. But anyways on to the pictures!!
A picture of my car from the front right. YES It needs wheels badly!! Either a set of Kosei K1s or i will find a replacement lip for my racing hart Tracers.. Or maybe some Advans..


A picture of my new ZR from the front. With the 88 front on the 85na body along with the 85 fenders front and rear Ive simulated the look of a japanese 200ZR. My TBO lip spoiler and central 20 sideskirts are on the way. I hope to have them painted and placed on the car before the end of the year


My engine bay. Note the Engloid manifold 1 npt pop off valve plug the heat wrapped intercooler piping (which made a 10 degree difference on my SDS commander air temperature) custom radiator hoses and no windshield washer resivior. This is where my coil pack ignition goes (Another feature of the SDS system). Look mom no distributor!!! Just behind the drivers side headlight you can see my moved air filter which now resides there. It actually has a little bit of ducting work in the future for cold air to get to it but it does pretty good right there. Just to the right of where the distributor once sat you can see my Apexi AVC-R boost controller solenoid. I mounted it there to keep the distance between the manifold and the turbo wastegate actuator diaphragm as short as possible. K&N breathers take the place of my stock pcv system and you can see i have none of the idle up control valves or cold start stuff on my car. No EGR either!!
Stock fuel filter and stock fpr reside on my fuel rails right now which houses the Benz injectors. And yes thats a 240sx throttle body that i have.


Finally thats a shot of me and my beast car. Up soon is suspension and wheel mods but first its a new clutch (I will be trying out a clutchnet 4 puck sprung hub disc with my clutchmasters pressure plate) and some more tuning hopefully to result in 400-425 rear wheel hp on pump gas! Only time will tell!!
