Default balancing is not working

sorry for the 2 threads in such short amount of time

but anyways I just put aftermarket rims stock 14's to 18's with adapters...now with the new rims i have just installed the car shakes pretty bad after going 50mph so i figured that i would just need the wheel balance...well i just did the balance yesturday at Dayton Andrews...and it still shakes after 50mph..I called up rent n roll to see if they know what the problem is and they say "if you have adapters, its going to shake no matter what" im thinking to myself why would they make adapters for cars if there is no solution to fixing the problem...

pursuing this further i think i need a "on wheel balance" and if so where could i get one...and if not then what do i need to do...and if rent n roll is right and i should sell my rims and get rims that fit my lug pattern

thanks

The adapters do not make your wheel shake no matter what he is a dipshit.

If the wheels are balanced correctly and are true then it should be a suspension problem but you would have noticed it before with the 14s

FALSE....

If your adapters are not hub centric they can make them shake. You can get hub rings to eliminate this IF it is in fact the problem. There could be a few other things doing it however

Are these new 18's for sure? If they've been damaged or if the lip is not in spec for runout they will wobble. It may not be enough to feel it at all speeds but most car's suspensions have a natural resonance and when you hit it you can get vibration.

You need adapters to go to a bigger wheel size? OR is it another bolt pattern?

My guess is that either the adapters are not hub centric or the rims aren't.

Or whoever balanced them sucks balls... good luck getting it fixed.
