I went into to buy my girl a scion xb and all I heard was

"scion doesn't offer rebates or incentives"

"scion this scion that"

Also, the xb was a left over 22,000 after taxes and they wouldn't budge at all on the price. Offered me a check back for 500.

The vehicle was listed for 19,000 I offered 16,000 to get it going.

What is with scion?

Or am I negotiating wrong?

 

From reading on the website it seems that scion dealers aren't allowed to negotiate on the scion cars.

Something about pure pricing.

theres not much marked up on the scions, they are geared towards first time car owners/ brand new car buyers, to get them into the toyota product. hoping once you are ready for a new vehicle you are going to jump into another toyota with more of a price tag on it

there was 3,000 mark up on this one and it was a left over 2009.

Of course it had some wheels upgrade but that is nothing.

Online they sell these cars for 17,000 all day.

If you go to the Honda dealership they are going to be like "Honda this or Honda that"

Its what they fucking sell.

 

My friend got a new car when she graduated, she really wanted a TC so her parents went to see them, they would not negotiate for SHIT, so they went to honda, and got her an 07 civic. Better choice IMO
