Ok TR so my boy got pulled over for his "whole car being illegal"
which it probably is but not for the reason the cop says.. but this
cop is saying that ur taillights must be red and there is positively no
tinting allowed to your headlights at all... is there anyone that knows
or has heard of an actual statute about this? let me know this cop will
never forget this ticket lol

 

yeah you can't tint your headlights(got a ticket when I had mine yellowed with Lamin-x) and your taillights must be red when lit.

can't specifically state the law but it is legit.

cops are on the prowl to make that revenue. got pulled over on my way to work for wearing sunglasses at night on my bike.

 

It's the law, I used to get nailed for this same shit 20yrs ago! Headlights to low to the ground (minitruck) tinted head & tails, obstruction of view, etc.

You name it, there is probably a statute against it somewhere.

 

Really all depends on the cop my friend who i ride with all the time i tinted his dark as shit and we have rode by hundreds of cops and nothing...

 

I would like to add Clearwater Police are on the war path for worthless tickets, ie no tag light, window tint, music too loud, and pretty much any violation that is generating revenue for the city.

 

This is the truth, they have motorcycle cops posting up all over the place too, I see them all the time. But yeah, tails have to be red.. But I didn't know they couldn't be tinted, I only knew the headlights couldn't be

 

I drive a limo all the time now, so I really don't get looked at much.

 

ok so basically u can tint the taillights as long as they light up red.. and u cnt touch ur headlights... haha my boy said when he questioned the machine the cop told him "u see my windows they are legal tint would you like to go measure them" they went to measure them and his windows were 10% an my boy said isnt the limit 15% and the cop replied "its because the window is dirty " hahahahahahah
