Thumbs up Carquest Auto Parts In Brandon: Thumbs Up!

I had one subframe bolt stripped, and the replacement bolt from Mazda didn't have threading all the way down the bolt like it needed, so I took both up to the Carquest machine shop in Brandon. I asked them to either repair the busted threads, or turn new threads on the rest of the new bolt, whichever would be more plausible. They called me back in about a half hour and when I saw the bolts, they had done both! When I was ready to pay, he simply handed me the bolts and said, "Just remember us if you need anything else."

Best part is, this is the second time they've done something like this. An earlier time, I had some busted aluminum threads for few sizes that I didn't have dies for. I took it in, and they knocked it out free of charge.

When shops are struggling to stay afloat, customer service like this should be a decider on where to take your business. Just wanted to let everyone out there know where they can go to get taken care of promptly and attentively, especially since so many people ask where they can go to find a good machine shop.

Anything I've needed they take care of me pretty well. I like the machinist there, and the other guys have always been cool. Just wish their hours were better.
