Default Deciding on the next car.

Well, as some of you know, my S2000 has been for sale on TR for quite some time. Finally, I have a buyer and we're going to his credit union Tuesday.

Well, I'm trying to decide on a new car around $20,000. Currently, I have my heart set on a 745li 2003 BMW. What do you guys think?

Stay away from the 7 series. I worked for BMW, and that car is a NIGHTMARE. If you do get one, invest in a bumper to bumper warranty, regardless of the price.

Id research the reliability and repair cost before jumping into a car like that. Its a nice ride, but those german cars can own you if things start going wrong.

5 series are just as nice.

What are you looking for though? Luxury, speed, mileage, reliability? If you're including used, gonna have to narrow it down, or people are just gonna throw wild suggestions around.

stay away from that 7 series... The repair bills are out of this world.

335i is a great choice, but 20K will be hard to get you one.

Look into Audi A4 or even an older S4.

also nightmares to maintain (well, I know s4's are from friends experience)

and to who suggested the 5 series, they're generally more expensive used believe it or not

also like said above, just make sure you get an amazing warranty and you'll be fine. if not, you'll be fukt
