theres nothing legally that you can do seeing as how you are WAY 3rd party on this issue. it sucks, trust me.

the ONLY thing you can do is to let the towing company take it, make nice with them, and when THEY get the title, offer to buy the car. thats it.

legally, you cant enforce any storage fees, nor can you try to assess a lien against it.

Go to the clerk of circuit court and tell them you have an abandon car in your yard that has been there for x amount of time. Im sure they might be able to help you

 

but its not in HIS yard... therefore that would be fraud.
