OK here is the deal. I bought that Alpine V12 from Rich. I used to do stereo installation so I went ahead and swithched out my old amp with the Alpine. I got everything hooked up and when I went to put the remote on all I got was a spark and my head unit went completely dead. It would not turn on. So I proceeded to unhook everything and tried again...still no power from the head unit. I checked all my fuses and even disconnected the battery for some time to try and reset the unit. NOTHING worked! So now my head unit will not even turn on! Anyone know what might have gone wrong? Help please!

Figured it out! When we originally hooked up the amp we wired the remote into the ignition instaed of the remote out. (Same color wire...opps) When the Amp fried it fried that wire. We just ran a wire from the power outlet (only comes on when car turned on) back to the head unit in place of the fried wire and...viola...head unit is in working condition again. Now to see about the amp.

pull your cd player out and check to see if it has its own fuse if so you might have blown that fuse and not your cars fuse. it happened to me before.
