RB Failure.
They are very common up there, almost like Hondas down here. I try to go to Canada at least once a year and they are all over. Its funny my first trip I passed by a buy here/pay here lot and they had 3 on the lot one with 2800.00 price tag. (Which at the time with USD it was like 1400.00 US)
The problem is a lot of them have rust problems (as they are usually late 80's/early 90s). With out shitty USD you have to almost double the price. And it is near impossible to to get it into the US easily/legally.
One of the times I went up I took 3K with me and my goal was to buy one and drive it back to PA where my family owns a car restoration business. I would get it worked over and trailerd back to FL (for next to nothing). After 15 Dealers they all said the same thing, it would cost a fortune and take months and months to do it. If I wanted to illegally bring it in (as someone else stated). I could have a canadian drive it to PA for me and then fly him back. But FL laws require 2-3 months for the car to be registered in US if driven (I may be a little off on time span) and then I would be even more f'd once registration expires.
Then the other option was to drive it into US and try to scam VIN as a US car. But in the end it wasnt worth the hassle and possible fines/tickets I would get.

seriously, Gts-t's and whatnot are really not that cool, they're usually busted with shitty interiors. if you really want something skyline like, save your money and buy a S13/S14 shell and RB Swap it, it wont have the omgzsuperturbojdmbbqlulzercopterdoritftoskyrhine factor but itll still be pretty neat and probably wont be rusted.
now a GTR is another story, definitely worth the hassle.
