I guess I am a bigger car nut than I thought. Here are what these cars are:
1) Buick Grand National GNX was built for the FBI only (500 units) and when the FBI decided not to take delivery they were sold to the public for a shit load back in 1987. They were SINGLE turbo with a ceramic impellar and a bunch of misc. tweaks. I know this because my first car was a Grand National.
2)Pontiac GTP turbo was not a Turbo T/A the GTP was built off of the Grand Prix platform note GP in GTP. They were pretty quick but did not sell for a shit.
3)The Mclaren Mustang was actually built off of a Capri platform and were nothing special other than some minor mods and lots of body work.
Hope that helps.
Actually Ford has been building world class performance/luxury sedans for a couple of years now. They are called Jaguars. Ford has a major controlling stake in Jag. And lets not forget about the 2003 Mercury Marauder.
