Default WHY do you guys.....

Just feel the impulse to remove the power steering and air conditioning out of almost every car in here in SOUTH FLORIDA... Just doesnt seem logical to get in a car after its sitting in the heat with no way to cool down and get an arm workout in the heat....

I just had to see the answer for this.

power increase on their daily drivers lol. I will try to keep mine as long as I can. Right now the weather is perfect for no AC I cruise with the windows down and its nice. But real hot days damn not fun with the windows down. Particularly at long lights. Power steering is something I will always keep. Not a fan of yanking the steering wheel or having to keep moving to turn, you can keep that. High performance cars still have it.

Because Hondas can barely power accessories to begin with.

its not always an option... sometimes when you swap and engine there is not sufficient room for certain accesories.

there are the idiots that remove it to gain that .5 horsepower.

LOL'd. I always love your replies.

When I was 16, I got a '74 Chevelle that didn't have the optional A/C. Drove it for three years and just got used to it. Since then, I've been fine without AC, and actually prefer the windows down. My current daily doesn't have working AC, and the ones that did in the past, I never used it on. It's just something most people have become dependent on, but I never needed. I'll take my free HP, thanks.

As for PS, a proper conversion (or factory manual) facilitates much better communication between the driver and the road. It's actually not as much power freed up, but it makes for a better driving experience, but not for the faint of heart.
