Default Need a new Auto Insurance. Any suggestions?

I'd like to hear what other insurance companies are out there. My main concern is that most of them check your driving history for the last 5 years. Are there any that only check for that last 3 years?

My current situation is that I'm under my folks policy and I usually pick up some of their coverage premiums for their cars. I'm 24 I don't live with them so I need my own policy. I had a "reckless driving" incident back in August of 2005. Then I got a speeding ticket in Oct of 2005. Since that last ticket, I haven't had any more violations. So I can say my driving record has been clean for the last 4 years and 1 month. All these other insurance companies IE Allstate and Geico check the last 5 years and I know those last 2 violations don't look pretty. Any advise?

im not sure if just anyone can get it, but if you can get usaa, they are by miles the best. Hell i paid 22 a month minimum insurance before i got my new explorer. Now for my tbird and explorer full coverage with rental car/roadside assistance i pay 105 and some change.

A couple years ago I had Esurance...went along good until my premium started going up. First couple times it was maybe $50 for 6 months, then all the sudden it went up $300 for the next 6 month renewal. I had no changes in driving record, address, car, nothing at all. WHen I asked them why they wouldnt give me a straight answer so I dumped them.

Ive been with Geico for around 2 years now. They were a couple hundred less than Esurance. No complaints so far. I can do all my payments, policy changes, etc online.

I had Direct (Florida No Fault) for several years, but one year they never sent me a renewal form, so I shopped around and switched.

Alright, I'll look into USAA tonight thanks! I think progressive checks the last 5 years but I'll confirm that again.

For a moment here, I thought all the TR people were uninsured lol.
