The FT-HS wasnt ever really meant to be the "next Supra," just another car from Toyota. The FT-86 (get it?) is what became of the FT-HS. Whenever Toyota mentions a remotely performance oriented car, everyone goes "OMG SUPRA"

We're still waiting on the 2005 Supra.
