The problem was that mitsubishi hid all there problems from the public and the government until last year when they were caught by the Japenese division of motor vehicles (forgot the name). They were forsed to order 80000 recalls or something like that to vehicles produced from 1970s to 2001. The CEO and many top executives were fired and Chrysler bought them to fix the company up. I doubt they will but you never know.

Im extremely surprised that Mitsu never had a recall for the crankwalk problem for the 4G63

Trust me I got crankwalk twice and both dealers didnt even know what the hell crankwalk was. Heck they didnt even know how to put a new shortblock in correctly. Took 3 months to get it right finally.
