REPORT: Gumpert Apollo Sport sets new production car lap "record" at Nürburgring — Autoblog
Gumpart Apollo sets a new record for production cars around the 'Ring running a 7:11.57
To bad its such an ugly car. Viper looks way better.
Also this isnt a "anyone can drive fast car" the thing is a total beast.

Its probably not sold in the states, which dosnt matter. And its not like you will ever see an Ascari running around either.
While I can agree it is a "production car" I'd still like to see production numbers etc. I think for this to count as a full fledged production car there needs to be X produced or X sold.
This thing has a full front and rear clip (prob carbon) and air jacks. Any other production "road" cars have those? lol
In that case, throw some DOT tires and a couple msc lights on the Ferrari FXX Evoluzione and lap the Ring.

They make three versions of that car, the Apollo, Apollo Sport(OP), and a Apollo Race. The first two are street cars, the third is track only.
Who cares if it has air jacks, how does that make it any less of a road car? The Ariel Atom isnt exactly a real road car either, its a go-cart with a big motor, and the Ariel not mass produced either.
Once you get around to building something like the Apollo the people who are going to buy/afford them are very very few, so production numbers are going to be very low. Thats more than obvious.
