So...how crazy are you all for JDM parts?

Just want to get some feedback on how crazy the import owners here get over JDM parts.
Reason I ask is Im considering starting up a small little business with a couple people to import parts (new/used) over here. Im aware of the demand for Honda parts but what about Nissan Toyota Subaru etc. How big is the demand for JDM parts from these groups? If its just the JDM Honda parts that are in demand I cant really see the point in getting this thing off the ground since the market is pretty saturated as is.

Im sure you would do well for the time being. It seems people are all over the JDM trend these days. Since it is a trend this is something you will have to watch in the future when/if the demand for JDM parts starts to decline. On the other hand there will always be a certain segment of the market looking for this kind of stuff. Either way it is a risk but what fun would entrepreneurship be without the risk?

i think its a good idea because there arent any shops that just do jdm shit. like people say though you have to look at the future market for these things like do you think there will be a demand for jdm parts in 10 years. also you will have to compete with jdmhondaparts. just put your prices about 10 bucks lower than theres and you will still be netting a whole shit load of money. but if you do open a shop...please dont sell rice shit like vinyl that has japenese letters that dont say anything. but if you can make money on people that want to make their cars look like ass then bring the ricers on...

Well see the whole thing is there is not much capital involved. The business will be purely digital meaining the storefront will be a webpage. No overhead other then maintaining the site and paying a few employees to gather/ship the goods. Only true risk is getting it off the ground and possibly losing the initial capital.
As for what Id be supplying it would be as Craig said niche items meaning interior parts exterior accessories and perhaps a few engine components. The parts themselves can all be obtained NEW with the price reflecting that but used parts can also be had and that will depend purely on supply.
Right now Im just weighing demand. Like I said I know the Honda JDM market is alive and kicking but I hear very little from the other makes. Perhaps Im just not paying attention?

the only JDM thing I want is the JDM underhood fuse cover I love chinese letters I would take my car to shops to tell them I think my main relay is bad and when they look at the fuse cover theyd be like:confused: and
