Default 2000 civic ex engine cross reference?

I need a new engine b/c mine blew up. Any tips or directions as to how to obtain a new one? I can't find anything on CL (maybe my jedi searching skills suck).

What year can fit my 00' Ex? Thanks guys!

Pretty much any 4 cylinder Honda ever made will fit your car with some mounts and wiring work. Your engine was a D16Y8, other D16Y8s will bolt directly in, obviously. You could use another D series motors, but other than the D16Z6, most make less power than the Y8. You can buy a B20 from a CRV for about the same price as a D series, or you can go all out and buy my complete JDM Type R swap, which will bolt directly into your car with no modification
