Default Best hydraulic floor jack?

Throw me some suggestions? I sick of constantly replacing them every year or so. I think the seals go bad or something. I'm referring to the ones you buy at Napa and Autozone. Anyone have a good, long lasting jack? I believe the heat in the garage kills them.

what really kills them is not using jack stands. I'd go with Sears, they have a low boy all aluminum jack for around 100 bucks IIRC

I use the Craftsman quick jack too, 3500 pound model, if it breaks you take it back, no more buying new jacks.

Is it a life time warranty on the craftsman ones??

I always use my jack stands. I think its only the real idiots that have the balls or lack the common sense to work under a car supported only by a hydraulic jack.

I think a few of them, they're pricey though, mine has lifetime and I think it was like $350 or so at the time, most are just one year.

go to craigslist, buying a new jack is pretty useless. I did how ever find a low profile jack 3 ton craftsman with warranty for 35 so i picked it up (ok i switched price tags). Those cheapos suck but are you leaving weight on them?

Low profile, lightweight (under 39lbs) Crewline I got from Costco 8 years ago. Still works great.

I also have a Groits Garage ultra low profile but it weighs a ton.

I was looking at the low profile one online, I read the reviews, apparently they suck lol.

I will have to check out the one at costco, see if they still got it lol. I'm going to look to see if there's a way of fixing the current jack or I might end up buying something off CL.
