2011 Ford Focus to be turbocharged
For 2010, Ford is introducing powertrain advancements that range from an entirely new line of powerful, efficient EcoBoost engines to minute transmission tweaks that reduce friction. The challenges of improving fuel economy and reducing emissions are affecting all levels of Ford engineering throughout the 2010 lineup.
The new 2.0L EcoBoost 4-cylinder will arrive in 2010, and along with the new engine, Ford will also debut its Powershift six-speed dual clutch gearbox next year.
The turbocharged inline-4 will be rated at about 230 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque. The new dry-clutch automanual gearbox is currently used in several European Ford and Volvo models, most of them based on the C1 Focus platform. For the United States, the transmission could be fitted to the 2010 Fiesta and the new 2011 Focus coming later in 2010.

I'm feeling lazy so I didn't read the article. Is this new Focus going to be like the euro model which I guess is like the Mazda 3 here or something. Which is different than the old Focus which was the old Focus with a new body and some Microsoft thing you could tell to play a song or something.

Sounds good, hopefully they make it look a little more sporty or atleast have an option like the old svt's (not saying those looked good but they were better then the regular focus's)
