This is for all of you that were busting my balls about the Ford recall. At least Ford only recalled 700000 units (this time
)

DaimlerChrysler recalls 1.6 million Grand Cherokees to fix transmission defect
DaimlerChrysler is recalling 1.6 million Jeep Grand Cherokees to correct a potential transmission defect.
According to Reuters news service hundreds of owners say that the truck has a tendency to roll backward when the transmission is in park. The recall covers 1993 through 1998 model year Grand Cherokees.
Reuters says that DaimlerChrysler denied responsibility for the potential defect. The automaker points to drivers who get out of the car while it is still running as the likely cause.
In order to quell the concerns of safety officials and consumers DaimlerChrysler will install a device inside the floor shifter to ensure the transmission locks into park.
While DaimlerChrysler is content to add componentry and give out advice – such as admonishing drivers to take the key out of the ignition when leaving the vehicle – the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may widen the investigation to include Grand Cherokees built after 1998 according to Reuters.
In addition to the transmission recall NHTSA has been investigating a wider range of Grand Cherokees linked to 364 crashes 159 injuries and five deaths. That inquiry is unaffected by the latest recall.
The agency reports Grand Cherokees as having a rate of rollaway complaints five times greater than for any other automakers SUV according to Reuters. One class-action lawsuit is already pending against Chrysler over the problem.

Good majority of the SUVs on the roads out here are Grand Cherokees. So 5xs as many complaints when their are 5xs as many owned no surprise. On Fox out here they were talking about that report and the reporters looked at each other and said that in their opinion it was the drivers. If you look at the majority of people out here stereotypically they cant drive thats why we have to have Photo Radar for Red Light Runners. But all car manufacturers have their problems I think the older Fords are ugly with one exception 67 GT 500 I love those New Mopars (mini vans full size vans stratus sebring pt) are ugly and the Neon well it isnt completely ugly but it does need help. Dont get me started on Chebbies Lets leave that at Id rather own a Ford mostly cause I dont wanna have to learn all the interchange stuff between Chevy/Buick/Pontiac/ etc
Joes Official Response:
Fuck em always hated Cherokees/Grand Cherokees

I personally like Cherokee/grand Cherokees If built correctly with the correct driver those can be awsome off road fun mobiles think about it fully enclosed with hopefully working a/c you wont get dirty unless you want to or get stuck and have to kinda like the smaller version of the Ramcherger. Wranglers and the like make great Rock Crawlers.
