this is a very interesting comment. Seems a lot of automakers are (finally) figuring out most people prefer a wider vantage point. Honda and a few others have known this for years, and a large reason why SUV's are so popular with women. As people transition from SUV's to smaller cars, expect to see this more

i noticed it with rental cars and it sucks. even with the seat bottomed out

for me, it feels like i am completely out of touch with the road and its feel

floating couches are not for me

i noticed the Eclipse (rental) and Vivek's GXP did not put me above the road ... so to me its the econoline that is doing it

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Its okay for a little car, and there is absolutely nothing wong with owning a Ford. Only uninformed automotive morons think they are lesser cars,
I'm sure the MSRP will be lower than everyone thinks in fact I'd expect it to be priced lower than the Honda Fit, and it'll most likely outperform it.
The only drawback I can see is it's name. They shouldn't have named it the Fiesta. Lame name.
