Thats a WING.. hell I figure even you guys should recognize a large wing when you see one.. OH wait this one is functional.. thats where the confusion is coming from..

Thats how the driver gets out of the car after a run/escape hatch etc plus its used as a vent after a burnout.... They dont LOOK for anyone when backing up they practically sit between the rear wheels...
Those guys can barely turn their heads let alone look around...

And the Toyota is powered by good ol American power nitro burning 500ci V-8...
You really have to go to one of the national races to appreciate a 300mph 5 sec blast in the quarter... its undescribable...

Gary Scelsci is running a white Celica bodied one in Funny Car
he did alright for his first time in a funny car the last event.
Big switch from Top Fuel now he has to work. I bought a book on
funny cars and it said they go 0-100mph in less than 1 second!!!

Guess people dont watch much drag racing...

And i agree 110% on the feeling you get watching the Pro classes in real life... amazing. Especially at night
