Anyone ever try/get sponsored?
Im putting together a packet of information to send out to various companies to let them know about me and possibly work out a deal on parts. Ive got background information on my site (how many hits members etc). I also put the future plans on there with regards to my car and Super Street mag.
What stuff has worked for people on here or know that works?

ive been there i have the 2000 audiocontol demo car...its really hard to get sponsored. usually you have to have already dumped a ton of $$$ into your ride and thats not enough you MUST goto ALL the shows/events in your area and some not in your area. thats how i got in the magazines just from seeing the photographer almost monthly at events...its all about the exposure
Saw some stuff online about it...like TotalEclipse said U have to spend the $$$ first sponsership comes AFTER youve gotten a bunch of awards appeared in several magazines etc...its by no means the easy way out of paying for parts on your car...good luck tho.

Exactly many people think they can get sponsored with a stock car and them not attending any shows but its not gonna happen. The companies want to know your dedicated to going to the events before they shell out any cash. I personally know people from doing the IASCA thing offered full rides from companies but turned them down because all the free equipment in the world doesnt equal half the cost involved in a major competition stereo
I know you have to spend money before youll even have a chance at sponsorhip. I did however get the word that Phantom grip and Clutchmasters will be hooking it up
Im working on some boost now and hopefully some tires.
Lets take time for a word from my sponsors.....

well i joined a car club then we got sponsored by a shop last week. we only get %15 discounts though. but with how expensive a lot of things get the savings really ad up. say you bought some cam shafts. about $525 after tax. then the discount.it will total out to about $446. thats a lot saved. well at least for me
