so i think i found some nice stepped trim rings, i dont know if they will fit though, cus they have the old style clip in system.

here's a picture of what i mean, compared to what i have now.

umm, 39-49 fords all had stepped trim rings. mid to late chevys, olds, and buicks all had ribbed trim rings, and plenty others had variations on the two.

it was mostly domestic cars that were surf wagons.. im not trying to look like a bug or bus, im just going for the overall look. just so happen that I like the stepped look the best. i just dont understand why its such a big deal to you.
