Yep Mitsubishi confirmed that the Lancer EVO VII WILL be coming to the US. Final specs are not available but it will be priced UNDER $30k. They say it will be here in JAN 2003 while some dealers are saying that it may be sooner. CAnt wait. 13s in the 1/4 stock...hell yea.

yea i saw the press release for it about a month ago....it wont have the 276+hp of the jp-spec model expect more like 240-250hp due to emissions. Also the tight recaros probably wont make it either due to americans wider waistline. So what we will get is a fairly toned-down version of the Evo 7 or simply Lancer Evo here in the US.

Zate and I went to the Mistu dealer on Hillsborough and asked about the EVO...the sales guy pretended not to know what we were talking about...he says arent those things spose to have like 400 hp??......bleh.

The projected $28k plus T&T price plus any additional dealer mark-up will keep it out of the hands of many...not too mention the limited #s that will arrive in the states.
