i had a friend who owned a mk2 jetta.. it was beat to shit.. rust, broken wind sheild, no interior.. smelt like shit rode like dick. but underneth the hood was a full built gti 16v turbo put down close to 400 and he deliver pizza in it for like 6 years.. was easily a 10 sec car.. the only thing u notice when looking at it is the front tires always had good tread on them, the backs not so much
