Just like stangerang said. Losing the cats will hurt your bottom end if you do not have a lot of motor.

I just realized your car was Super Charged. Gutting your cat will be a huge improvement being that the forced air will not hit a brick. Id say its good for a 10-15 hp on a forced induction car. It made took 3 tenths off my 1/4 mile. (TALON)

if yo need it gutted there are two ways

1. bash it out with a rod of some sort-----pretty easy

you can pick up metal fence rods at home depot that should work

or you can pour oil on it and in a fw months time and alot of smoke and smell later it will corrode its way out.....

I agree.. with forced induction you have nothing to lose! If you still want to gut it and cant find anything to break apart the catalist with you can do what I did on my Daytona.. I pulled the whole exhaust cut out a section of the top of the cat body.. but i cut on the FLAT part of the top not down the sides any. I just used a die grinder and cut off wheel. I then went to town with a pry bar and sledge and emptied it out nicely. I had a friend weld the window that i cut out back in and I coverd the weld with some JB Weld to catch any pinholes. When installed theres no way you can see my cut.. even when laying under the car! Those heat shields come in handy for some stuff! Let me know if you wanna drive over here and need some help with anything.
