one of Detroit's favorite tricks: Create multiple versions of every product under a bunch of different brand names, hoping that if buyers shun one, they'll take a more favorable view of another. Message to Detroit: Consumers aren't that stupid. Give them a bit more credit, and you might have a future.
This sums up my feelings on GM products and the entire company. Great post

Then why not bring it up to the news stations, to the company and protest this car and take it off the road??? I never heard anything bad on toyota prius. They can't even keep up demand for this vehicle. I've seen about 3 of them where I work, and those cars looks nice inside out, and quiet as hell, and the owners have not giving me one complaint on their cars yet and they've had them for years. Do you know something we dont know ? If something is truely wrong and enviormently unsafe with this car let the world know, but if you think about it, what car is enviormently safe ??? every car has oil, transmission fluid, radiator fluid, power steering fluid, exhaust fumes, battery... etc.. etc.. no car is helping the enviorment if you think about it.

I went to look at a Ford Taurus last year around november/december, cause I always loved the taurus. I used to have one. Well They had the same damn interior as the 500, Fusion,Sable i also think the Focus or it was another Mercury car that had similarities too. I asked the salesman why all the cars looked the same inside, he didn't even know (who knows if he did or not but still) I thought I was getting something differn't then the other cars but if you think about it, they are all the same. Nothing was differn't about them. Kinda embarassing (bad sp??) to me for them to do that. Other shit happened at that dealer which was explained in another thread at that time, and I didn't purchase the car. Left their very unpleased.

^ He might be referring to the butt-load of batteries the car uses. They will eventually need to to be replaced. I think its environmentally fine as long as a trained technician handles them and RECYCLES them properly. You do make a point though, if the car was causing more harm to the environment, it would be all over the news and other rival manufacturers would be riding that ass lol.

totally agree 100%. If you think about it, every car that has a battery needs to be replaced every few years or so there are more cars with regular batteries that you purchase at wal-mart, autozone, k-mart, sears etc.. etc.. then there are those prius or similar cars on the road. so I don't see how its more dangerous then a regular vehicle. I believe we throw away/get rid of/recycle more regular car batteries away then the prius and similar cars change theirs.
