getting rid of the focus
alright, test drove it today.
shifts like a champ and has a great deep sound to the exhuast
but....
their were a few problems that are being adressed, as in:
the passenger side window motor is burnt out
the lever for the automatic windows is broken and incapable of being used.
and finally... it hasn't been driven in about 2 months and when we took it out for a test drive today it just didn't live up to it's full potential while gunning it. as in it sputtered a little. this could mean a whole aray of things but the mechanic i'm buying it from knows what he is doing.
so all in all i told him what needs to be fixed before i buy it, as in all the things i mentioned, the price won't go up because of that either and should be ready by thursday.

+1 for the SVT Focus. I have had a regular and an SVT Focus, and the SVT is definitely the Cadillac of Focii. Interior is superior, motor has more power, tranny is better, wheels/suspension are far superior. All in all, one of the most *fun* daily drivers I've ever owned! You could put that thing into corners at rates of speed that you really shouldn't have probably
For the blue one you're looking at; definitely have the mechanic bring it up to snuff for you. Realize that the SVT-F had some issues with low-idle bucking in the earlier production vehicles, but should be resolved with a simple TSB at Ford. Also, take a heat gun to the graphics to remove them, and then a little TLC with the wax and clay bar, replace the fog/head lamps & you're good to go man! You'll love the SVT-F over your regular Focus 1,000,000 times over dude.
