that very well may be the real story of this year. well that and they have already said their defuser is coming soon. look for red bull to be in the hunt most of the season. wet or dry.
the pull bar rear gives them a lower center of gravity and allows for cleaner air flow over the car. while they don't have a double decker defuiser theirs is still pretty trick. The end plates of the wing extend to the edges of it (which also happens to be narrower than everyone elses) causing the diffuser to work harder.

Nope, was at International Mall Saturday and didn't take baby out yesterday, went to the game and came home to watch F1.

but with massa's electronic problems today, i'm starting to think the designers are a bit off their game, or not really motivated(ie fat cats).
Many of the front-running teams right now had a six month development lead on the teams that were fighting for the championship last year; they weren't competitive so they began working on their 2009 cars. Don't forget Braun was Honda last year and they had dumped several hundred mil on development into the team before abandoning it, so it's not like they just showed up with a new car and started winning races.

Yessir the BGP001 is the Honda chassis brawn spent last year developing. Just another Honda with a motor swap

If this was referring to BrawnGP, Ross Brawn is arguably one of the best technical minds in F1 and hands down one of the best racing strategists in the world...definitely no newbie

no i'm referring to adrian newie, i didn't look up the spelling. RBR doesn't have the trick diffuser or kers, and managed to 1-2 shanghai. why couldn't ferrari and mclaren do that?

^Mclaren drivers moved up a total of eight spots from their dry qualifying positions where they're not as competitive as the other cars, which is not bad given the wet race conditions; it's a hell of a lot easier to not lose positions than it is to gain them in the wet. It was already explained to you why they're not as competitive in dry conditions.

Massa was upto 4th or 5th at one point right before having electrical problems and Kimi, well, Kimi was just afraid to push the car in the rain.

Hamilton could have finished higher if he didn't keep going off the track.

Newey won 6 of the 10 constructors titles in the 90's by the way...

Kimi had issues with his engine early on in the race and never had the power to overtake the good drivers. The rain changes everything as stated.
