What does one do if one loses the remote to one's car?
The alarm is on, and if I try to open the car with my key, it'll ring. I can't even drive it because the car doesn't start. Any suggestions?

Before you ask; I drive a 1995 Honda Civic EX Coupe.

Shouldn't there be some kind of "alarm override" button? FWIW if my alarm goes off, all I need to do is put my key in the ignition and turn on.

 

theres a valet mode, usually you push a button while turning the key.

 

That's the thing though.. I can't start the car.. It won't start.
And I need my remote to be able to fix it.

The remote said "Python," on it, if that helps.

 

Is there any way I can get a new remote, and somehow program it to sync with my system?

 

was this installed professionally or was this installed by some oak tree mechanic?

 

I have no idea. It was installed prior to my purchase.

 

Do you know where the valet button is (or if they even installed one)?
