How to rally
Have you ever thought about taking a rally inspired car off road in Florida? I love doing it with my 02 wrx, so I wrote an article about it. It's so much fun, but it's also a lot of work. The work is worth it. Does anyone else like to do this too? If you have the time, please read through it and let me know what you think. (Feed back is fun!)
Rally scene in florida is great, I love it. There is so many county roads, trails and paths with 35-45mph speed limits. Off roading in florida is a very fun thing to do, it's funny to see the looks of big 4x4 when i come zooming down the path in my wrx. "Wtf is a car doing here... lol" My buddy has a jeep that goes along with just in case I get stuck lol. If he's not around, emergency shovel is very handy.
Anyone else like to go off road in florida? Are you a street performance or rally performance oriented enthusiast?

I like both. Fortunately off road you have less of a chance of killing someone else or getting cited by the police. I've taken a few of my cars off road though, not this one yet but I'd give it a shot considering the the vic can take a good beating.

i loooooove taking my 02wrx wagon out on the gravel roads out here. Almost as much fun as snow drifting! Im getting ready to move out there to tampa, are there any scca type rallyx events out there?
Yes off road "playing" is much safer than doing it in the city. There was an SCCA event at hernando county airport a week or two ago, but it was autocross completely paved. The roads out here are perfect for a rally cross.
I can't really say I'm a strict rally enthusiast since I don't have a rally capable car. Now let's say I had an Evo, Sti, Carrera 4, S4, MS6 etc, then I'd be all over it. I've always enjoyed watching the WRC races that come on late nights on the Speed channel.
I think it'd be badass enjoying some off road curves rally style.
