Interesting Chevy
I did some research...the Cruze will be based on the Delta II platform. The Delta (I) is the Cobalt and Saturn Ion. So basically it is a generation II Cobalt/Ion.
Interesting note...though many refer to the Cobalt as a new body Cavalier (J body platform) they share very few common parts other than engine/transmission. Even at that the Cavaliers used a speed/density fuel injection system and the Cobalts use a mass air system. Essentially its the same engine with a different computer controlling it all. Body, suspension, interior, etc are all different between the 2 vehicles.

I wasn't all that impressed with the interior of the Cobalt but as a rental car they weren't bad for what they were. One of the guys I autocrossed with had the top model Cobalt and he enjoyed it and the interior was still ... mmm it just missed the mark for me.
I wonder what the interior will look like on this one. Hopefully not cheap looking.
The interior on the Cav looked good.
The saloon style Cobalt was fugly. They should just stick with the coupe.

I'd rock it if it came with an LS7 or something of the sort.
