MORE JETTA PROBLEMS!!! BLAH!!!

worst day ever for the jetta ok listen this might be long. oki went to school today then went to buggbqs house right after and we were checking his oil and the top of the oil pipe thing that you put the dipstick into broke off so we drive up to reeves so we get to reeves i go to unlock the doors and all of a sudden the pump that runs the vaccum door locks decides not to work ok ill worry about that later then i get mad lights on my dash and i turn the car off and take the key out lights go away but my tach needle stays at 800rpm...the car is off mind you. anyways ok also my digital clock and digital odometer which usually stay on even when the car is off...are off beautiful..ok fine i get out and decide to deal with it later and i put the key in the door to lock it and i turn to key to lock it and the alarm goes off for some strange reason and it wont go off with the key...fuck we have to pop the hood and disconnect the battery and we end up having to do this a few times since we were at reeves i got one of the audi guys to give me a jump since they said my battery is just going to shit. so i decide to take my car to autozone to get a free battery charging...ok we get back to put the battery back into my car and oh..whats this?? the HOOD WONT OPEN so we have to jimmy is open with a screwdriver FUCK ok i put the battery in and connect it and all i get in the car and wow the car starts no alarm wonderful and guess what? MY GUAGE LIGHTS COME BACK ON. sweeeeet ok i turn the car off and the odometer and clock once again turn off i turn the key again clock once again reset to 12:00...BLAH john1552...HELP ME tell me whats wrong with the jetta-mobile!! please!! or anyone else that could help me!!!

My alternator crapped out on me a while back when I was visting friends in Riverview. That really sucked considering I live in Spring Hill

Damn I thought my car had issues.
Part of it may be your battery but you may also have something wrong with your cluster. Maybe a loose connection or something. Didnt you mention in another post that you had trouble with your dash lighting? I wonder if it could it be related.

but seriously pull the gauge cluster and look for loose connections. And get a new battery. How old is the one you have?
