Please excuse my ignorance but what is that engine out of (I would assume a spirit?) and is it n/a or F/I? Looks like it could take one heck of a beating!

 

Thanks mang! I would like it assembled as soon as possible but Im not going to rush it in any way. Id rather only build one engine. I do have a little time on it.. my mega ported head is still being finished. Everything else is here though..

I also cant wait to see what it runs! I never got to run the old setup but im guessing it was 13.8-14.2. This new setup should leave that far behind!

 

LOL its ok. Not many are hip on the dodges. Its an 89 2.5L Turbo block. Port fuel injection. The blocks are VERY stout in stock form. Theres a few guys running this exact block with a stock CAST crank in the 10s a dozen in the 11s and LOTS in the 12s. Stock is Trick. Thats why I like my dodges.. I can go to cophers and for $150 I can get an engine capable of running 10s. I do envy all you 16v Cross flow guys though.....

What is special about the head going on it? Block looks like it could take soem ABUSE.

 

Well its a shitty 8v head and not even cross flow (i love dodge but they can be idiots sometimes) but it will be ported up HUGE. Oversize valves too. Itll be top notch for a dodge head.. even though a stock 16v honda head would laugh at it. The block is VERY stout yes. I guess Dodge was trying to make up for the head? LOL Oh well...
