Got the miata in the 11's!
What started out as a disaster night ended up being very good, and I know there is more left in the car. I recently made 333rwhp after adding the exhaust, which was 19 more than previously. With the old setup, on street tires, I ran a 12.7@ 114.8 with a 2.1 60', so I was expecting great things with the added HP, and the addition of some donated 205 BFG Drag radials, my first run, the car felt sluggish all the way down the track, and sure enough... 12.9@ 108... I was like WTF, how do I gain 19hp, and lose almost 7mph? Well the answer is, I added Power Steering this past weekend, and I no longer could run my intake down into the inner fender/behind the bumper, so its up in the engine compartment behind the headlight, and I moved the Air Intake Temp sensor as well... I sure didn't think it was going to be that drastic but that little change really f'd the car up. It was pulling timing, and dumping fuel. I talked to my tuner and he asked if I could move the sensor, and I said sure, I actually undid the zipties, and brought it down in front of the radiator, and tied it around a tow hook lol. I then stuck a bolt in the hole left by the sensor in the intake tube, and let the car really cool down between runs, and the result was:
I am going to be removing the headlight, and having it retuned. So whenever I go to an event I will just pull the headlight and run it like that. So not evven setup correctly and Im in the 11's! I'm stoked. The car is not a drag car, I have been on Sebring twice, but I just wanted to see what it could do. Once I get it tuned I'll go back one last time to get a final number.

Jeez, makes me want to sell the accord and go buy a miata and a crated LS1. I have daydreams about it for days, until I realize it'd just be another car I'd crash against a wall or something.
