KUMHO tires....
Ive got the 712 supra ecsta z rated with a 280 treadwear not the 320 treadwear. I hate these tires they are overrated everybody who loves the grip of the kumho owes it to themselves to try a set of yokohama avs intermediates if the oppertunity ever comes forth since the tire was discontinued. MY next tire will be either the falken azenis or the yokohama avs sport if they ever make that one in my size.

Ditto on the sz50s. Damn good tire. Usually the lower the treadwear the softer the tire. Sz50s have a treadwear of 220. The hook pretty good. See sig for 60ft
But realistically if u want something to hook get a drag radial. Dont waste your money like I did and farting around the 1.9-2.1 range. Get a drag radial and be in the 1.8s or lower. Just be careful when in the rain and when they wear out! -Mark
ps. I think a SS rim is 17x8? so a 285 tire will look really weird on it.

my initial reaction to the 712s was that they roxored my boxors.
then i realized they dont. lateral grip is good; im still impressed as far as they do for my overweight family car but launching. . . sucks. heavy braking only induces large amounts of smoke and flat spots. wet traction imho totally sucks ass. but theyre a good forgiving tire and they let you know when youre about to die.
next tire. . . not kumhos.
