Default Evo vs 240sx

I am a 240sx fan. I like all 240s. I recently found myself drooling over Evo 8 and 9s. Would you go for a evo with a monthly payment or a 240sx with no payment or a small payment over a short period of time. Sure evos kick out awd and 280(250whp) and a srd 240 kicks out about 200hp or less. Is the evos payment really worth the extra 50whp. But then theres the aftermarket support. Both cars have a thousands of upgrades to choose from. They both can get to 500(usally 240s getto 400 or 450) and both can go beyond that given the right amount of money. What would you prefer to spend, $25,000 or less for a used evo or $4000 or less for any typeof 240sx?

Keep in mind your two choices are aimed at two different demographics.
What are you planning on doing with the car?
The 2 cars are equally as buildable, and both can perform very well for a decent price.

really depends on what you want to do with the car
what your goals are
and what your budget constraints are

Wow.. you're definitely new to TR

Where do you work anyways? Do you have a co-signer for an Evo? Also, you mentioned that you would have a payment for a short period of time, even on a 240sx? If that's the case, it doesn't sound like you have a very solid down payment anyways. Obviously Evo's are always going to be nicer, in my opinion anyways. If you can TRULY afford an Evo, I'd get one over a 240sx any day. If not, and the car is going to own you, I would recommend a 240sx.

After driving both cars, I'd vote Evo for sure. It would be great on the track, with little to no modification and in my book it would be a better daily. If you already have a 240, you might as well just modify that one.

But you're really comparing two totally different cars.

My advice would be, go drive an Evo, then go drive a 240 with similar modifications as the ones you would want.
After that it should be pretty easy to decide.

I would say yes. It's one of those things were you really have to drive one to know.
