Default project ideas

hey guys
im thinking about starting a project. i am probably going with something import simply because all in all its cheaper to build than american muscle. that said i think its obvious i have a limited budget. so i would appreciate any suggestions/ideas for a cool project thats going to be reasonable on my wallet. also if anyone has (or knows someone who does) a base car i can use for this, let me know. i would prefer that it was drivable thou. but either way - let me know, im open for any suggestions.
thanks

are you kidding import is cheaper to build then a domestic....

I've built both and its much easier to get big horsepower out of a domestic for less then you will spend getting half the horse on a import. And a lot of the time the big horsepower domestic tends to be more reliable then the modded import. This isn't always true but for the most part it is.

i say go big or go home

yes i understand i can get more power for the buck from the domestic engines but what i was saying is that even thou im gonna net way less hp, the cost of building a nice clean and relatively quick import system is gonna be less.

def not a rice bowl lol too many of those out there

im not too concerned about the outside looks.. it would be for the track - if i decide to go for domestic then drag and if i stick with imports then maybe a little drag but mostly just circuits i guess.

thats not always true, you can built a v8, but you cant just drop it into anything, you know?

I have a dodge v8, its a 360 i think, headers, msd ignition, holley carb, an automatic tranny, which needs to be rebuilt, you can just buy it and scrap the auto tranny.

also i have the fuel injection system for it, everything you need to run it, ecu, wireing harness, manifold, injectors, you know, you could buy that for just a little more, unless you wanna run it with the carb
