how to hot wire my car after the ignition was punched

Angry how to hot wire my car after the ignition was punched

so my car was recently broke into they stole my new head unit and tried to steal my car but they suck and didnt punch it right so now my ignition looks like a caveman got ahold of it,my ? is though how do i hot wire it my car is a 98 honda civic ex if anyone knows plz help

I'd go ahead and call your insurance and have them fix it, and have them provide you a rental for the time being.

i only know this because back when I had an integra, similar thing happened to me.

Remove ignition cylinder from column (common way is to jam a screw in there, then remove with dent puller). Pull out and look for flat white plug. Insert anything you can, and twist - tada! Instant honda.

It is that simple, and thats why I don't own a Honda

besides if you get pulled over how do you explain a screw driver stocking out of the ignition. Cops tend to arrest now and ask questions later when they see a screw driver in the ignition.

No pictures needed.
You need to get a new cylinder.
You can get the lock cylinder from any used parts place. A friend got his used from All Japanese or European and Japanese on 301. but you can get the part from any used parts place.

It takes about 30 minutes to replace.
